Working with Designworks Group, Micromelon developed a “Smart Scrum Machine” allowing coaches to record forces applied from each player, each pad and replay this back to players in order to provide better data for improvements. The project included developing a bluetooth capable set of machine pads with integrated force sensors top and bottom, and streaming data back to a live view via a coaches iPad app.
